On Saturday 19th April 2008 Mark David Hopley and Laura
McAlpine were married at Aldwick Free Church Bognor Regis.
It was a very special occasion with many travelling from Aldridge to
share in the celebrations.
Nathan
Gregory flew back specially from Uganda to be Mark's Best man and
Laura had her sister Sarah as maid of honour
together with bridesmaids Nicki Kelly and Clare Maynard. Ushers were
Phil Hopley; Pete Carpenter and Andy Budd,
together with Laura's twin brothers Joe & Tom.
The bride and her father entered the church to 'Be My Baby' by the
Ronetts and the service was conducted by the
Revd Paul Kerley with the bride's uncle, Revd Michael Beckett, giving the
address.
Michael Clarke sang 'Some where over the rainbow' during the signing of
the register, and then the new Mr & Mrs Hopley
exited the church by (I can't help) Falling in love with you by
UB40, ending a truly great Christian Marriage service.
At the reception, the partying went on into
the evening and we were entertained by and danced to RetroSexual
(Michael Clarke, Matt Wallace, Andii Clayton, Richard
Johnstone and Oli Nicholls)
who were simply amazing as they blasted
out songs from the 80's.
The happy couple are honeymooning in Mexico and we wish them God's
richest blessings in their new life together.
