Aldridge Parish Church - Summer 2005 : VISION

BUILDING, GROWING, PRAYING

On Sundays June 5^th, July 3^rd and July 24^th at the 10.30am morning services at Aldridge Parish Church, VISION is on the agenda. We’re going to be exploring three words: BUILDING, GROWING, PRAYING. These words sum up where our main focus as a Church will lie over the next two to three years.

We believe that the Lord is calling us to be more focussed in what we’re doing as a Church. What kind of Church are we building here? How can we grow our Church so that new Christians are created and keep going in the faith? How can we all deepen our relationship with God with a real and significant prayer life?

All this comes at a time when there is a great deal happening on the Church’s agenda.

• We’re just about to embark on two services on Sunday mornings.
• We’re preparing new plans for new ‘Church Rooms’.
• Alpha and Beta and Small Groups are growing and need to be resourced at a greater level.
• We need more children’s and young people’s leaders and helpers.

• 24-7 is an exciting initiative, but we need to develop this further.
• The demands on Church finances have increased because of Parish Share, staff and other mission initiatives.

There is a challenge which meets us all in three ways:

1. Am I giving enough of my time to help the Church in its mission?
2. Am I giving enough of my money to free the Church so it can grow and move forward?
3. Am I committed to developing my own relationship with God in order that I can serve him and my community better?

This is an important time for the Church. Opportunities are going to happen to help us become more committed to Christ. Please do keep Sundays June 5^th, July 3^rd and July 24^th free. It would be great if you can make these services and please start praying through these issues as well as discussing them so we can move forward as a Church together.
