Sorry for sending a general note rather than a personal letter but not having slept last night at all .....
 
Thanks be to God Simone gave birth to a gorgeous little girl that we are calling Sarah Heloise (the second name is Brazilian) by normal delivery. More impressively still she managed this in just over three and a half hour - not bad for a first baby hey. Also thanks be to God our prayers were answered and I was also able to be with her throughout.
 
Sarah was actually born on 4th Dec (and for those of you who love details the time was 4.10pm and she weighed 2.9kg - not the 4kg one doctor predicted thankfully). The reason for not writing sooner is that here in Brazil a relative stops with the patient 24hrs a day to help them with their necessities. As we don't have any family here we both only got home from the hospital a short time ago. As you will see from the picture below Simone is doing really well
