What is prayer ministry?
Prayer ministry is
simply an opportunity
for you to come to God
with something that you
would like prayer for.
Maybe something has
struck a chord with you
in a service and you
would like to pray about
it, maybe you have a
personal worry or need,
maybe you want to ask
God for healing, maybe
there is someone else in
need you want to bring
to God or maybe you
simply want to
give thanks for
something that has
happened or prayers
answered.
So
it can be for anything,
for you or for others,
whether it be physical,
emotional, or
spiritual.
It is up
to you what you share.
When is it available?
Normally, each Sunday
after communion or at
the end of services, for
a short time.
Where does it take
place?
In the prayer corner at
the back of church.
Who is it for?
ANYONE of any age who
has something particular
which they would like to
join with others to pray
or give thanks for.
Is it confidential?
Absolutely. Those who
pray are trained to keep
all that is shared
totally confidential.
Nothing for which you
ask prayer is discussed
with anyone else unless
they have your
permission to do so.
Who will pray with me?
There is a small group
called the prayer
ministry team and two of
them will be available.
All the people on the
team
know the value of
prayer for themselves
and have had some
training in praying and
listening.
What can I expect?
Those who pray are not
there to counsel or give
advice to you. Rather
they are there to be
with you in prayer and
to listen to you and
what God might
be saying as you bring
your particular need to
Him. We pray in faith
that our loving and
merciful God hears our
prayers and responds to
our needs.
Prayer Ministry Team
are available to talk to
anyone who would like to
know more or who wants
to ask any questions
about prayer ministry or
who may want to meet to
pray about something
outside of church
services.
Please contact the
church office.
********
We don’t have a God who
is out of touch with our
reality. He’s been
through weakness and
testing, experienced it
all – all but the sin.
Let
us then approach him
with confidence, so that
we may receive mercy and
find grace to help us in
our time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16 The
Message and the New
International Version.
‘Healing (in body, mind
and spirit) is Jesus
Christ meeting you at
your point of
need.’
