Mozambique Flood Relief Day 20:

The daily flights transporting food, blankets, tarpaulins, mosquito nets and sanitation items continue.

In order to support the people in the accommodation centers for the coming weeks, emergency cooking supplies are now flown in. One small box of 5kg contains everything needed for up to five people per household.

It is good to see from the air that the tarpaulins which we flew in earlier are already being installed on the roofs of the grass shelters.

It is still rainy season. The shelters are very fragile. So is the health of the children and the elderly.

After dropping the last load in the accommodation center of Canga a mother with her baby on the back came up to the helicopter and asked me: “when are you coming back sir?”

Your help, helps us to help the people in need. The clapping, dancing and smiling of the people that I often get to see also meant for you!
