On Saturday 6th
August 2005 Nathan Gregory Married Jen Eley at Christ Church in Winchester.
Nathan was a prominent member of our Youth Fellowship for many years and
was one of the team of four AYF lads who achieved so much when they went
out with Phil Granger to Paraguay in 2002.
It was a lovely sunny day in Winchester and the service was led by the
Vicar of Christ Church Rev. David Williams.
Nathan is one of the staff team of the church and his official title is:
Student Minister & Co-ordinator of the Lay Assistant Training Scheme.
Jen, his new wife! is a primary school teacher.
Nathan had three best men Andy Budd; Mark Hopley and Pete Carpenter, all
ex AYF lads and part of the Paraguayan team mentioned above.
Even Dave his dad had had a beard trim for the occasion! :-)x
Simon Gregory was an usher and played his harmonica so well during the
evening reception accompanying the band from Aldridge that went
especially for the occasion. (Oli & Emily Nichols; Andii Clayton; Matt
Wallace; Richard Johnstone and Neil Close)
Jen had six bridesmaids, Sarah Eley, Sophie Eley; Esther Gregory; Karen
Holt; Rachel Mozley & Hannah Sands. Nathan & Jen are honeymooning in
Rome.
The church family at Christ Church Winchester were simply amazing!
Whilst the photographs were being taken after the service, they
transformed their church into a restaurant for the reception and they
then served us a wonderful wedding feast. (see pictures below)
It was just so
lovely that they were prepared to serve Nathan & Jen and all the
wedding guests in this way.
Many people travelled from Aldridge for this special occasion and it was
a real joy to share in their special day. Below are a selection of
