Vision
In order to fulfil Aldridge Parish Church’s vision ofbuilding, growing, praying’, we are seeking to employ a co-ordinator whose chief task is to encourage evangelism and discipleship in the Church. The role of the person appointed would be to work alongside the Rector and other leaders to ensure that as a Church we are doing all we can to reach out with the Good News of Jesus and to help people become mature Christians.

Background
There are 3 Anglican churches in Aldridge operating as an informal team united in overall vision.  Evening Alpha courses are rotated between the 3 Churches with the Parish Church hosting the course in the spring term.
The Church Growth Co-ordinator would work primarily in the Parish Church.

There are over 350 on the Electoral Roll at the Parish Church with an Average Sunday Attendance of around 300, including some 70 children. In October 2005, a second Sunday morning service and a mid-week service were started to encourage further growth. There is also a well-attended evening service. All services now have space for growth.
There is a large C.E. Voluntary Aided school situated close to the church. This has been identified as a specific target for further growth, especially seeking to reach families with the Good News. The work among women and 20s to 30s has also been identified as an area for growth.

As well as the joint
Alpha courses, the Parish Church also runs daytime Alpha courses, at present only for women, and there has also been an evening men’s Alpha and a youth Alpha and there are plans for a children’s Alpha. The Church runs Beta courses as follow-up to Alpha and people are then encouraged to join home groups. For further information please explore this website.
