Hello,
Well I have been back at college for a month and it is half term
already! Thank you for all your prayers and support. I hope you're all
keeping well; here is an update on the last newsletter.
The past few weeks have been hard and overwhelming at times. I have
found it difficult to settle in and get back into the routine of college
life. It has not been easy to get used to a different year group and I
have found it hard to make friends. However, having said all this it is
getting easier as time goes on! Since coming back to college I have been
pacing myself and because of this I am doing okay health wise, though I
do still get very tired easily. I have been put in a lovely big room on
a completely separate corridor, which has helped and has enabled me to
take time to rest without being disturbed.
My weekly placement at the Mustard Seed International Student Café is
going well. I really enjoy going and spending time with the students and
sharing the Gospel with them, as well as learning about other cultures.
My block placement (Uganda) after Christmas is pretty much all sorted,
which is great.
Work wise I am ahead on my assignments and only have one more to do
before Christmas. I am doing a seminar on my own for my cross-cultural
class next Tuesday morning on 'A Christian's Response To Islamism'. I
have done all of the work for it but would value your prayers for when I
present it to the class.
During the last week of this term I am going on a conference for my
cross-cultural course. The conference is held by Global
Connections(previouslythe Evangelical Missionary Alliance) who bring
together the mission agencies inthe UK.
The conference title is “Running on Empty: Are we being shaped by the
God of mission?” I am really looking forward to this and it will be a
nice way of ending the term.
One huge answer to prayer is that I have had enough money to start
paying next terms college fees, praise God!
Thanks once again for your prayers,
All my love and God bless,
Hannah x
