Hello,

My year out from college is coming to an end and wow what a year it has been! It has felt like a rollercoaster ride! Thank you for all of your prayers, just knowing that people have been praying for me throughout the year has been really encouraging. Since coming home last October I have been shown so much love and kindness through all the support many of you have given.

This year has felt like I have been on a difficult journey with so many ups and downs. I have found it hard to take time out to rest and do nothing, for those who know me well know that sitting still isn’t really my idea of fun! However, I have found resting a valuable to lesson to learn and God has taught me how to be still in His presence and wait on Him, something I probably wouldn’t have learnt and valued unless I had had this year out experience.

Last term I had enough energy to help out with Sunday school so I helped with Pathfinders once a month at the Parish Church and also the 5-7s at Tynings once a month. I really enjoyed being involved with the children’s groups again as it is something I haven’t done since going to college. I also helped with Alpha and Youth Alpha, which I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of.

I am going back to college at the end of September. I have mixed feelings about this. In some ways I’m looking forward to going back and completing what I set out to do three years ago. I’m also looking forward to the fresh start and getting back to a normal routine. However, due to the fact that I only did the first term of the second year, I don’t know many people and there have also been changes of staff so please pray that I would make new friends and settle in again quickly.

There are still things that I need to arrange and put in place before I go back at the end of the month. My weekly placement needs to be confirmed and accepted. I am planning to return to the Mustard Seed Café in Bournemouth on a Friday evenings to work with international students, which is what I did before. I also have to do a five-week block placement after Christmas. For this I am hoping to go to Uganda to work in Displaced People Camps with a Christian organisation called LightForce International. Please pray that all my arrangements for this will get sorted quickly and easily.

Please also pray that my health will continue to improve and my body will continue to gain strength.

Thankfully all my fees for the first term have already been paid through donations and partly through L.E.A funding who have decided to give me a student loan. This is a real answer to prayer as it is the first time throughout my entire college course that the L.E.A have been willing to support me, praise God!

I would like to thank my sister Rachel and her group “Elysium” who performed at the Parish Church in May and also to members of Tynings Church who have been fund raising for my trip to Uganda. I do still need to raise money for my flights so would value your prayers for this.

Thanks once again for your prayers,

All my love and God bless,
