Hello,
Thank you for your prayers and support. I hope you're all keeping well; here is an update on the last newsletter.

On the 19th - 27th May I went to Acland Road Evangelical Church in Dorchester with my tutor group for our mission week. I stayed on my own with a young couple and their Springer spaniel. They were lovely and we got on really well. The theme of the week was "GOD: Near, Distant or  Non-Existent?" Within this theme we looked at three questions, God are you there? God, What about all the suffering? And God, can there be any hope
for me?

As well as leading the Sunday services in church we did various things throughout the week with the church in the community. Every morning we opened up the church and held a café and bookstall for people to just pop in for a free coffee and a chat. It was encouraging to see people come
into the church who had never been before. In the afternoons we went into the town centre to speak to people while filling out questionnaires about
what they thought about God, church and prayer. Through doing this we had some really good conversations with people and some came to the church service at the end of the week. One evening we led the youth group which was fun. Each member of the team gave a testimony before having a 'grill a Christian session'. The evening went well and we had a really good discussion with the group. One morning I went and worked at The Hub, a
homeless drop in shelter. I really enjoyed helping out at the centre and  talking to the people there. One Saturday morning we held a breakfast at
the church for people who use The Hub. This went really well and people really appreciated it. At both of these occasions we had some really
encouraging conversations. One evening we held an Italian themed night in the church with a meal and a small evangelistic talk. Many non-Christians
attended and left wanting to know more about Christianity and the church.

The week went really well and I enjoyed spending time working with the people in my tutor group and getting to know them more.
At the end of June I completed and passed my degree in applied theology and had a commissioning service at college on the 30th June. My graduation will be held at Christchurch Priory in October. I am so grateful to God for bringing me this far after all of the ups and downs over the last four years. I am also really thankful for all of the encouragement and support I have had off family, friends and my church family, I couldn't have got
this far without you all. At the moment I am still not entirely sure what the future holds although I will be living at home for the next year until  I get married in August 08.

Praise Points:
Completing my degree!
In May Mike and I got engaged and plan to marry in August 08.

Prayer Points:
Continuing guidance about work for September.
Mike as he prepares for his final year at college.
Wedding preparations.
Direction for our future together.
God bless,
Hannah
