The Aldridge Parish church Visiting Team.

On Sunday 25th April 2010, we commissioned our new visiting team. This is really very exciting! The team are going to be visiting many of those
people in our congregation who are housebound, or maybe lonely or ill, and spending time with them. Initially visiting people once a month and seeing where we progress from there. I am so thrilled with the wonderful response I have had and the number of volunteers who came forward to take part
in this initiative- it just goes to what a big heart our church has. There are many people who are part of our 'church at home' and I have the big privilege of visiting them but not as often as I would like- Many of them have such quiet sure faith and are valuable prayer warriors of our church-and visiting them gives me such encouragement and inspiration. I am so thrilled that they will have more regular contact and encouragement from our congregation and I know it will mean so much to them. Praise God for each of the people on the team and please pray for them all as they begin this new work and serve Christ and his church.  The team is such a wonderful bunch of people with so much enthusiasm and care and I do hope when I am inevitably old and cantankerous (as I surely will be!) there will be people just like them to visit me! (Maxine Roberts)

The team are: Chris Appleby; Lynne Trew; Pauline Stanford; Rachel Butterfield; Michael Mcdougnah; Maureen Main;  Andy Leese;
Maureen Rouse; Mary Thomas; Joan Gorman; Jean Hawes; Gill Sprayson; John Gilbert; Helen Walley & Alida Spencer.
