Sunday
June 21st 2009 saw our APC Summer Fayre on the
Cooper & Jordan School field. It was such a wonderful day,
and proved yet again that when members of our church family work
together, amazing things happen!
We also had an Open Doors Tea Party, an organisation that
represents many Christians all over the world who are
persecuted for their Christian beliefs.
Our day
started off with worship led by a 50 strong Wind Band
and Richard Cornfield, our Rector did a short talk from the driving
seat of his classic MG Midget car! In fact the prayers and
Bible reading were done from there too! (Even the Banns of
Marriage!)
There were then all sorts of fun and craft activities; a proper
family
day out, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who worked so
tirelessly to make this event happen. It was especially lovely to
see
so many from our community there.
A special thank you to Ruth Bryant for heading it all up
and making the day such a success.
