Shallowford House is the Retreat House and conference centre for
Lichfield Diocese. The house can accommodate up to 40 people
residentially in
single and twin bedrooms, some of which are ensuite, and is an ideal
setting for relaxation, learning and renewal.
The house is set within four acres of gardens in the rolling
Staffordshire countryside. The house is a 19th century building,
and was originally the private home of the Webster family.
It was given to the Diocese of Lichfield in 1936 and opened as
the Diocesan Retreat and Conference centre in 1938.
It is now a very comfortable centre in which to hold day or
residential conferences, training events or other meetings or social
gatherings.
Shallowford House also offers a wide range of day and residential
courses to help personal, spiritual and Christian growth.
