Rachel Butterfield, (pictured second in from the left)
a member of our church family, works for an organisation
called The Samaritan's Purse http://www.samaritanspurse.uk.com/
and on Sunday 5th July she organised a sponsored walk in
Sutton Park to raise money and awareness for a water appeal.

They were highlighting African families (often the children) who have
to walk 4 miles to get water which is probably filthy.

The picture below shows those brave enough to complete the walk which involved some members of small groups from the Parish Church, together with members
of our Tuesday Beta group. A lovely to time to get to know each other.

The walk, on a beautiful sunny afternoon, started off at
Mark & Sue Chapman's house and ended back there for
cream teas and cakes in their wonderful back garden.

Nice one Mark & Sue, and Rachel of course!
