Thursday 9th July 2009 saw a return of our Men of Aldridge events and on this
 occasion our guest  after dinner speaker at Calderfields Golf Club, was
Doctor Colin Flenley, a local community GP.

Over 100 men (which was most encouraging!), attended this event, and after a three
course meal, we sat back to listen to Colin being interviewed 'Parkinson style',
by Matt Wallace who had put together a wonderful selection of pictures and
movies clips about a passion in Colin's life....Liverpool FC!

Many will remember the Hillsborough disaster in 1989 when 96 football fans lost their lives,
and Colin was there as a supporter, and used his medical skills to help save lives. He recounted what he saw and went on there, and it was an extremely interesting and moving evening.
