Men of Aldridge held their last event for 2008 at
Calderfields Golf Academy on Thursday 23rd October 2008.

It was a very special evening with a three course
 meal and a speaker after each course!
Firstly we heard from Geoff Card from St Thomas Church who
would you believe grows grapes in a serious way in
Walsall Wood and makes over 400 bottles of wine each year.

Then we heard from Darren Eales, from APC, who is the legal
director and secretary from West Bromwich FC, and we had a
 very interesting insight into behind the scenes of football
 at top professional level.

Lastly we heard from Tony Swannie, also from APC who had an
amazing experience when whilst on holiday in France 'died'
(his heart stopped) and was unconscious, packed in ice, for three days.
