On Saturday 9th February 2008 Kate Lees (formerly Tibbles) was ordained a Baptist Minister at Herne Hill Baptist Church in London, having trained at Spurgeon's College.

Many will know the family. Beryl Tibbles taught at Cooper Jordan for many years, and Kate, (seen here in red next to her mum and dad, Gary), and her older sister Jenny, were
members of our Youth Fellowship
through their teenage years.

Kate has been working at Herne Hill for several years as their Youth & Children's worker, and
 it's a real testimony to God to see how He has transformed her from a quiet, shy and reserved teenager to what she is today -
the Reverend Kate Lees!

Many attended the service, some had travelled long distances, and it was a very special occasion.

We wish her and her husband Simon,
God's richest blessings in their
 new ministry together.
