28th September 2008

Well we did it!  Phew!  :-)x

A HUGE 'thank you' for everything you did in making the day so special. Thank you for praying.

On average we get about 350-400 people through church on a normal sunday during our two morning and evening service.

On Sunday we had 553 all together, morning and evening. PRAISE GOD! So that's about 30+% up on a normal Sunday.
I know it's not just about figures, but it's difficult to judge how things went without taking the numbers into account.

The encouragement for me was was that there must have been about 40% in our first service who were new/come backers!

We also believe some of our regular church family stayed away fearing the church would be full, but we had put extra chairs out, so there were spare seats at all 3 services!

BUT how many will come back.....?
Please will you pray for this. For those who invited guests, can we please encourage you to gently pursue them and see if they intend to return?
It's harvest this sunday, so that's something to invite them to.

Thank you too for those who did invite someone but they didn't come. God will honour your commitment to Him for trying. Only He knows the bigger picture.

All in all, a well done to everyone! and thank you to for the practical things that helped make the day so special. Whether you helped in the crèche or children's praise party, baked or served cakes and coffee or whatever, it all contributed to a 'successful' day and one we hopefully will repeat next year.

You are all amazing and it's such a joy to be part of such a committed church family.

Much love
