On Sunday 1st April 2007 Aldridge Parish Church held a terrible tie and horrendous hat competition at both morning services. Although it was great fun, there was a serious reason for the occasion. It was to raise money for Ryan Cockbill - one of our Youth Fellowship teenagers who is paralysed from the chest down as a result of an accident last summer. The best part of the competition was that this wasn't just an event for the children and young people. Several senior members of our church family made wonderful efforts and joined in. Below are some pictures of those who were brave enough to enter - click on them for a larger image.
A total of £491.48 was raised which is fantastic. A really big thank you to all concerned.
