During the morning service on Sunday 23rd January 2005, we said a special thank you to two of our church family who have worked tirelessly  for God and for our church as group leaders.

Rita Reed has stood down as housegroup co-ordinator after doing a wonderful job for the last 20 years! and Irene Standerwick has relinquished her role as Scrambler leader to start a new work with families enquiring about baptism.

Both were presented with a bouquet of flowers as a token of our appreciation for all their unstinting work. We really want to say a huge thank you to all leaders of all our groups who week by week seek to serve God in different ways to enhance the life of our church family.
God alone know the full extent to your ministries and the time put in, but we want you all to know we value you very highly.

During the same service, we also said farewell to Paul & Cathy & Matthew Middleton as they return to White River in South Africa to continue their work with Mercy Air. It's been a real joy to see them over the last couple of months and to catch up and hear more of the sort of work they are involved with. Please uphold these people in your prayers. They are highly respected and valued members of our Aldridge church family, but serving God overseas.
