Enclosed are some photos of the 1st Down's support group PROUD who met at "The Hothouse"

The Hothouse provided a great venue and the older children enjoyed games on the play station, air hockey and table football while the younger ones enjoyed playing with the toddler toys and enjoyed the new bubble lamp there.

Tynings Lane Seedlings group kindly let us use some of their special needs toys as well.

The parents, family and friends of the Down's children were able to talk amongst a lovely friendly atmosphere and it went really well and everyone came away really positive about the support group PROUD.

We were able to discuss some issues that parents had and it was great to be able to offer advice and support and since the meeting 2 of the moms have managed to sort out things that they were having difficulty with as a result of the advice given at the meeting.  This is all the more proof that this group is definitely needed as it has been a weight lifted off the parents shoulders.

It was lovely to see my health visitor ( from Rushall Surgery ) come along and support the group too.

A good time was had by all who attended.  Thanks to everyone for their continued support.

Please can you pray for our AGM which is to be held on Friday 3rd September as we need to set a committee up so we can move forward in getting recognised from local authorities and the Downs Syndrome Association.
We have to hold a AGM and adopt a constitution and committee in order to apply for help with grants and support of certain issues.

Anyone is welcome to attend the AGM if people want more details then please get in touch with me on 01922 443386
or mobile 07957625282
