2) pray for David Powell's
health. He is the Argentine historian who, together with Ed Brice, is
writing a history of the Anglican church in the Paraguayan Chaco. He
collapsed a couple of weeks back with a fissure in the aorta and lost a
lot of blood. Miraculously he was just two blocks away from the
hospital in Cordoba, Argentina as he had driven his wife there for her
own medical control, so was attended very quickly. He is still in
intensive care but is now able to breathe without a respirator. Pray
that there may be sufficient blood donors to enable the necessary
transfusions - the hospital is requesting 34 people! |
